From Staff and Wire Reports

The Marcus Allen Comeback Tour has begun.

Allen, an unrestricted free-agent running back, is making the rounds in search of a new football home. He was in Seattle on Friday to visit with the Seahawks, went to Kansas City Tuesday to see the Chiefs and is expected to make additional stops in Miami and San Diego.

It was a foregone conclusion that Allen, 33, would not be back with the Raiders after his role was reduced to third-down and short-yardage plays last season. Any lingering uncertainty was erased when Allen publicly criticized owner Al Davis at season’s end, airing their long-simmering feud.

Free-agent linebacker Shane Conlan of the Buffalo Bills will visit Raider headquarters in El Segundo after meeting with the Rams today.
