Town Meets on TV: KABC-TV, Channel 7 will air “Together: Neighbor to Neighbor--A Town Hall Gathering,” a three-hour, live program featuring more than 300 residents and officials for a citywide discussion of major issues facing Los Angeles. The program, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, will use studio, satellite and microwave facilities to interconnect seven Los Angeles-area communities. Speakers will include Police Chief Willie L. Williams, Fire Chief Donald O. Manning, Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti, Rebuild L.A. Co-Chairman Peter V. Ueberroth, the Rev. Cecil (Chip) Murray of First AME Church, Brotherhood Crusade President Danny Bakewell, Antonia Hernandez of the Mexican-American Legal Defense Fund, United Teachers of Los Angeles President Helen Bernstein and activist actor Edward James Olmos. Harold Greene and Ann Martin will host the program along with 12 reporters and anchors, including Henry Alfaro, Joanne Ishimine and Paul Dandridge.
