From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Chrysler Recalls Some Jeeps: Chrysler Corp. has issued separate recalls affecting 117,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees and Grand Wagoneers. About 30,000 Grand Cherokees built between mid-January and March 1 are being recalled to fix a front-suspension bolt that, if faulty, could cause the vehicle to pull to one side during braking. Changes were made in production to correct the problem, and as many as half the suspected vehicles were fixed before delivery. Separately, Chrysler is recalling 87,000 1993 Grand Cherokees and Grand Wagoneers to replace a possibly faulty latch. No accidents or injuries have been reported in either case.
