Muddying Things Up in NCAA Tournament

I am both saddened and appalled by the Los Angeles Times for the glowing, unabashed praise for Mark Bell, basketball guard for Western Kentucky, and his family (March 25).

“Oh, Baby, Can He Play” with the subheading, “For Western Kentucky’s Bell, the Youngest of 17 and the Father of Two, It’s Always a Family Affair,” is a tragic example of the totally irresponsible behavior of entire segments of our American population today (all colors).

Praise Mark Bell’s basketball, but do not contribute to the corruption and degradation of our youth who may read this story by touting the sad part of his story that damages not only the individuals involved but all of society.
