El Salvador stunned Mexico, 2-1, at San Salvador in the opening game of a North and Central American and Caribbean Region final series to qualify for next year’s World Cup soccer championship in the United States.
In another match, Honduras scored with two minutes to play to tie Canada, 2-2, at Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
