DRIVING TOGETHER: State officials studying ride-sharing have turned in their latest figures, which give Orange County some bragging rights. Since the California Department of Transportation and the Air Quality Management District began a ride-share promotion four months ago, ride-sharing in Los Angeles County is up 18% on monitored freeways. But it is up 32% in Orange County. . . . State officials’ short-term goal had been only 5%.
