Sergei Kiryakov scored two goals as Russia defeated Luxembourg, 4-0, to maintain its perfect record in World Cup qualifying.

Russia, in second place with six points in Europe’s Group Five, has yet to give up a goal in three qualifying matches. Greece leads the group with nine points, but has played two more games.

In other games, Italy was less than impressive in a 2-0 victory over Estonia, Romania rallied to defeat Cyprus, 2-1; Austria upset Bulgaria, 3-1; Denmark defeated Latvia, 2-0, and Lithuania defeated Albania, 3-1.
