Ballistics Report: Detectives in Wilmington, N.C., Tuesday received a preliminary ballistics report from the state crime laboratory on the gun that apparently killed actor Brandon Lee, but said further lab tests would be done before presenting the report to the district attorney. At that point the D.A. would determine whether charges would be filed in the case. Police declined to release the preliminary ballistics tests or to confirm whether the death of Lee is still being investigated as an accidental shooting. Lee, 28, the son of the late actor Bruce Lee, died March 31 after being shot with a gun meant to contain blanks on the Wilmington set of Carolco Studios’ “The Crow.”
