Marge Schott met with the Cincinnati Reds’ limited partners, who object to paying part of her lawyers fees for trying to retain control of the team.
The partners were upset that Schott charged the partnership $63,000 for legal fees to defend herself against allegations she made racial slurs. Schott accepted a one-year suspension from baseball’s executive council as a result of the charges.
Some partners also renewed their complaint that they weren’t consulted about how the team would be run during the suspension, which went into effect March 1.
