Share

Two San Fernando Valley men pleaded no contest Thursday to using a shotgun to rob a woman of $300 at a Woodland Hills automated teller machine in September.

Mustafa Wright, 19, of West Hills received an eight-year, four-month sentence for his no-contest plea to charges of armed robbery and another charge of attempted robbery for accosting another female at the same ATM.

Wright also made a plea to two additional charges stemming from armed robberies at Subway sandwich shops in Reseda and Woodland Hills in August.

Erin Vandussen, 24, of Canoga Park was immediately sentenced to seven years in state prison by Superior Court Judge Kathryne Ann Stoltz. He was charged with wielding a shotgun during the robbery at the Security Pacific Bank ATM.

A no-contest plea means that a defendant will not offer a defense against the charges and subjects the defendant to the same penalties as would a guilty plea.
