L.A. Election Results

The Times states that there was a 32% voter turnout in Tuesday’s election. Before writing your customary editorial lamenting voter apathy, please consider:
I live alone, yet according to the roll of voters at my polling place, there are three registered voters at my address. One of those listed moved out in November, 1979, and the other, my late wife, died in December, 1988. If this indicates the quality of voter registration data, then no one has even the slightest idea of voter turnout.
