CHAVEZ HONORED: Tributes are scheduled in the Valley to honor the memory of Cesar Chavez, who died Friday. . . . A short march and political rally will be held tonight in the city of San Fernando. Sponsored by the Cal State Northridge chapter of MEChA, the Latino student organization, the march will begin at Santa Rosa Catholic Church, 668 S. Workman St. at 6 p.m. The group will walk to the Tianguis Market at 315 San Fernando Mission Blvd., where several speakers will talk about Chavez’s life and work.
