Educator Named to Disney Board: Walt Disney Co., the Burbank entertainment giant, has named Los Angeles educator Reveta Franklin Bowers to its board of directors. Bowers fills a vacancy created by the February death of Sharon Disney Lund, Walt Disney’s daughter. Bowers, 44, has been with the Center for Early Education since 1976. She started her teaching career as a kindergarten teacher in Los Angeles, and later taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
