PREP ROUNDUP : Allen Ties Birdie Record, No. 1 Trabuco Hills Rolls

Zachary Allen shot a three-under-par 33, collecting a school-record five consecutive birdies, to lead top-ranked Trabuco Hills to a 190-207 victory over Estancia in a Pacific Coast League golf match at Coto de Caza.
Allen tied Mark Mignone’s record of five straight birdies, which was set last season. Chris McPherson shot one-over 37 for the Mustangs (14-1, 6-0). Estancia is 3-3 in league.
In the Century League:
El Modena 183, Orange 192--Sophomore Sean Brocklebank shot a one-over 34 at Riverview to lead host El Modena (12-5, 7-0). Orange is 2-6 in league.
In the Freeway League:
Sunny Hills 199, La Mirada 210--Freshman Terry Noe shot par 36 and Robert Son shot a one-over 37 for Sunny Hills.
In the Orange League:
Valencia 200, Savanna 273--Medalist John Lee shot one-under 36 for Valencia at Alta Vista. Teammate Cody Neptune had 38 for Valencia (13-4, 5-2). Savanna is 2-5 in league.
Western 219, Magnolia 319--Tiger Woods shot two-under 34 at Los Coyotes for Western (6-9, 3-4).
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 203, Corona del Mar 204--Medalist Brent Stulik shot a one-over 37 at Rancho San Joaquin. Brannon Rees led Irvine (7-4 in league) with a two-over 38.
At the South Coast League finals:
Garner wins--Ben Garner of El Toro shot a second-round one-over 72 and finished six-over for 36 holes to win the individual championship. Jeremy Niednagel of Dana Hills finished second 13 shots behind Garner.
In Sunset League golf:
Marina 384, Servite 387--Medalist Brian Rea shot par 70 for Marina (10-2, 9-1) at Meadowlark.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Beach 9, Laguna Hills 9 (Laguna Beach wins on games, 78-77)--Playing in his third varsity match this season, sophomore Jeff Venstrom defeated Rinesh Grnatra in the decisive set, 6-1, for Laguna Beach (12-4, 6-0). Host Laguna Hills is 7-8, 3-3.
