Doll House: Hello, dollies.

Doll City U.S.A. has moved to a new location at 2080 S. Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim, “within walking distance of Disneyland,” said Dale Noble, who owns the business along with his mother, Norma.

The 6,000-square-foot store houses more than 4,000 dolls ranging in price from $2 to $14,800. The new, smaller store doesn’t have a warehouse, so more of Doll City’s merchandise is on display, Noble said.

Doll City’s old location in Orange was set back from the street, Noble said, but the new location near the Magic Kingdom “has great visibility.”

As far as trends go, 1992 has been relatively quiet. “We’re not selling anything in high volume right now,” Noble said.

But sales should heat up in the summer when a string of “Gone With the Wind” dolls are introduced. The limited-edition series includes Rhett Butler in a tuxedo and Scarlett O’Hara with three different dresses. The 18-inch dolls will retail for $114 each.
