Shouldn’t she have foreseen problems in the stars?Astrologer Donna Hennen is suing Roseanne and Tom Arnold, alleging, among other things, that the Arnolds told a TV interviewer they had “fired” her.

Darian Bojeaux, Hennen’s attorney, said the Arnolds were angry because the astrologer once advised them that Tom Arnold, whose TV show has had ratings problems, “would be more successful behind the cameras than in front of them.”

Michael Robins, the Arnolds’ attorney, countered that Hennen was angry because she had been asked to stop an Idaho newspaper ad that said: “Roseanne Arnold’s Private Astrologer Now Lives Here in Twin Falls.”

In case you’re wondering, there was no mention in the suit over whether Hennen had ever attempted to use Tom Arnold’s studio parking place.

A big danke schoen : Ann Jordan of Towne Centre Travel in Diamond Bar received an announcement from the folks at a British airline, who have apparently taken it upon themselves to rechristen Orange County’s airport. Pretty cheeky, we say.

Nothing cheeky here: The question facing L.A. Superior Court Judge Lillian Stevens was: How much money in damages did Cynthia Albritton deserve for being denied custody of her bronze casts of rock stars’ genitalia for 22 years?

Albritton, a groupie-turned-pop artist, had sought $1 million from music publisher/talent manager Herb Cohen, with whom she left the 23 objets d’art for safekeeping in 1971. He had refused to give them back because of a business disagreement.

Stevens settled on a smaller amount--$10,000, which works out to about $20 per year per cast, whose subjects include the late rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix.

We’re still waiting for one more announcement.

Albritton’s attorney, Geoffrey Glass, said she has made no plans for exhibiting her exhibitions.

In the Rodney King era? Before we realized they were ads for an anti-car-theft device, we were a bit surprised to see freeway billboards that said:

Parker Center is conveniently close: The reputation of politicians in general was not enhanced by the indictments of two more state Assembly members. When KTLA (Channel 5) newsman Warren Wilson was seen entering the office of an L.A. City Council member, one City Hall worker jokingly wondered whether Wilson was arranging the surrender of another suspect.

miscelLAny:

Zamboni, the Paramount, Calif., company that manufactures the ice resurfacers used in hockey rinks, sells a line of related novelties. One button carries the inscription, “What the hell is a . . .” and a silhouette of the machine. As of yet, however, none are on sale in the souvenir shop of Wayne Newton Airport.
