A Burbank talent agent was found guilty Wednesday of sexually assaulting several aspiring actresses and a Glendale police officer who posed as one, a prosecutor said.

Wallace Kaye, 52, was tried on 11 charges ranging from felony sexual battery by restraint to felony imprisonment by violence to misdemeanor battery, Deputy Dist. Atty. Mark Collier said.

Pasadena Superior Court jurors convicted Kaye on all but one false imprisonment charge involving one of the victims, Collier said.

Judge Jack Tso set sentencing for June 9.

The talent agent could be sent to state prison for up to eight years.

During the more than two-week trial, investigators and victims testified that the attacks occurred at The Kaye Talent Agency, 1006 N. Lima St. between October, 1990, and September, 1992.

Victims told jurors that they came to Kaye seeking acting or modeling jobs. They said they were assaulted while performing certain improvisational scenes with Kaye. One of those scenes was secretly recorded on audiotape by the undercover officer.

Kaye, who was arrested in October, remains free on $150,000 bail, Collier said.
