NEWBURY PARK : $3,700 in Cigarettes Stolen From Store
Ventura County sheriff’s investigators are looking for suspects in a robbery early Tuesday at the G&B; Liquor and Market in Newbury Park.
Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Montijo said his deputies responded to an alarm shortly after 2 a.m. at the store at 503 N. Ventu Park Road and found the front window smashed. The store owner reported that 150 cartons of cigarettes valued at about $3,700 were missing from a display case, Montijo said.
The Thousand Oaks Crime Stoppers program is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction in the case.
