In other Freeway League games:

Fullerton 1, Sonora 0 (10 innings)--Amy Corderman’s triple with two outs in the top of the 10th scored Amy Simpson with the winning run, making a winner of Angie Fancuberta (12-11), who recorded her third consecutive shutout.

Fancuberta allowed four hits. Fullerton is 12-13, 4-3. Host Sonora is 10-12, 2-5.

Troy 4, Buena Park 1--Heidi Schmidt pitched a one-hitter with three strikeouts and two walks to lead Troy (14-8, 4-3). Buena Park is 1-6 in league.

In the Century League:

Canyon 4, Orange 3--Right fielder Keri Bransom drove in Kristy Kachig with a single in the top of the seventh for Canyon (12-11, 3-4).

El Modena 10, Santa Ana Valley 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Alexis Beckman (14-3) earned the victory for El Modena (14-3, 6-1), striking out eight and issuing no walks. Karen Bartkiewicz had a three-run home run in the second.

Foothill 1, Villa Park 0 (12 innings)--With one out in the top of the 12th inning, freshman Marie Gieron singled in Christina Mazurie from third to give Foothill the victory.

In the Empire League:

Los Alamitos 5, El Dorado 0--Michelle Schneider had three hits and two RBIs and Carrie Dolan pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts for visiting Los Alamitos (17-3, 5-2), which moved alone into first place.

Esperanza 2, Katella 0--Esperanza scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the third with the help of three Katella errors as the host Aztecs (6-10, 2-5) knocked the Knights (4-3 in league) out of the first-place tie.

In the Garden Grove League:

Kennedy 8, Rancho Alamitos 0-- Nicole Paloney (10-1) pitched a one-hitter, striking out six, for Kennedy (20-1, 11-1).

Garden Grove 2, Santiago 0--Wendi Griffin pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and allowing no walks, for host Garden Grove (16-9, 7-4). Santiago is 6-12, 5-6.

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 4, Magnolia 1--Samantha Cardenas hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning and Stephanie Carew had two hits and an RBI for the host Wildcats (15-8, 7-0). Andrea Schuette (8-2) pitched a one-hitter, allowing only a single in the seventh, and struck out six.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Hills 28, Estancia 0-- Christy Journell went four for four with a home run, four runs scored and four RBIs, and Jennifer Milo had five hits and four RBIs for visiting Laguna Hills (16-5, 7-0).

Costa Mesa 9, Century 1--Jenny Prier and Deanna Centuriori each had three hits and two RBIs and Carrie Schwab had two hits, stole two bases and scored two runs for host Costa Mesa (11-6, 5-2).

Trabuco Hills 2, Laguna Beach 0--Shannon McSweeney’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth scored Stephanie Rapel with the winning run for Trabuco Hills (9-12, 6-1).

In the Sunset League:

Fountain Valley 1, Huntington Beach 0--Deborah Harrelson pitched a no-hitter for visiting Fountain Valley (16-5, 9-2). Harrelson (4-3) struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter. The only base runner for the Oilers came on a two-out error by Harrelson in the third inning. Kelley Santa Cruz had an RBI single with two outs in the fifth for the Barons’ only run.

In the Arrowhead League:

Southern California Christian 8, La Verne Lutheran 0--Freshman Candle Silva had 17 strikeouts for the Flames (14-2, 7-1).
