Boss Angeles

I listen to radio for the music and the disc jockeys who play it. What a pleasure it was to read about those deejays who helped mold our listening habits in the ‘60s. I am fortunate enough to remember listening to and watching these characters in Los Angeles as they would talk with us, not at us.

Those who practice “shock radio” should take notice. It takes more than talking in a risque manner to bond the listener and the disc jockey. Will the Howard Sterns of the ‘90s have loyal fans 20 or 30 years from now, as do the old KHJ “Boss Jocks”? I doubt it.
