* Feed roses with a systemic rose care to control insects and encourage blooming. Cut off old flowers as roses finish blooming.
* Check apple and peach crops. Remove excess fruit if too much has set. This will give your fruit better size and save stress on the tree.
* Prune all spring flowering trees and shrubs. This includes lilac, quince, flowering plums and forsythia.
* Raise lawn move height to at least 2 1/2 inches for spring and summer.
