School Calendar

Share

The good news is: The board acknowledges that there have been problems for “single-track” schools on the current calendar. The bad news is: Complexes must meet, and agree and notify the district within a month if they want to return to a traditional calendar.

It’s imperative for parents and school employees to work together to bring every single-track school back to a traditional calendar. If we achieve this goal, busing schedules will stay as they are now; just the calendar will change. The athletic schedule will work again. Most significantly, if every school votes for a traditional calendar, it will save the district over $4 million! This is enough money to pay for librarians, school psychologists, aides--people our kids really need, but who are about to be cut.
