U.S.-Led Climbers Reach Summit of Mt. Everest

WOODINVILLE, Wash. —
An American-led group on Monday became the first team this year to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, on the border of Nepal and Tibet, the expedition organizer said.
Four Americans, one Canadian and three Nepalese reached the top of the world’s tallest mountain via the South Col route, Alpine Ascents International of Woodinville said.
