OPEN HOUSE: Best-selling author Dean Koontz and his wife, Gerda, will host an invitation-only benefit dinner for Children’s Hospital of Orange County at their Harbor Ridge manse on May 22. But it might be their last. . . . They’ve purchased four adjacent lots in Pelican Hill, the Irvine Co.’s pricey Newport Coast development just down the road. Koontz says they will soon build a larger Italian-Mediterranean-style home. “We keep pushing ourselves out of this house,” he says. “We’ve filled every closet; I’m running out of room for books!”
