Share

Attorneys for South Coast Plaza and a woman who slipped and fell on the second level of the Costa Mesa shopping center in 1989 settled a pending civil suit Thursday for $200,000.

Carole Kelley, 55, an Irvine interior designer, claimed in court documents that she fell and injured her back while walking at the mall. She sued South Coast Plaza and its owner-operator, Henry Segerstrom & Sons; Reliable Maintenance, the janitorial concern responsible for cleaning the floor, and Jasmine Ltd., the company that manufactured the shoes Kelley was wearing when she fell.
