Roger Clinton Has Busy N.Y. Week Defending Bill, Ducking Camera
There he was at the Knicks game, arguing with a stockbroker. Earlier he was in Bloomingdale’s, shouting at a photographer.
The first brother, Roger Clinton, had a full week in New York City.
“He’s a little upset,” his manager, Butch Stone, said Friday, when a New York Post headline screamed, “RAGIN’ ROGER--1st Bro Wrings Fan’s Neck at Knicks’ Game.”
At the New York Knicks-Charlotte Hornets game Wednesday night, stockbroker Devin Arkison, a man unimpressed by both Roger Clinton and the first 100 days of his brother’s presidency, was seated nearby in Madison Square Garden.
“Bill’s outta here in three years, and your 15 minutes of fame are almost up,” was reportedly one of Arkison’s cracks.
Roger Clinton, who was flying to Los Angeles on Friday, said: “And I took it and I took it, and finally took my arm on his shoulder and squeezed it and said, ‘Don’t you badmouth my brother anymore.’ ”
A security guard defused the fight, and Arkison did not file a complaint.
“It’s much ado about nothing,” said Stone.
But the tabloids also carried reports of his run-in with a Post photographer at Bloomingdale’s. When the photographer tried to snap a picture, Roger Clinton jumped behind a rack of designer ties and shouted for security.
