Schwadron, Rawitch in New Posts

Terry Schwadron has been named deputy managing editor of the Los Angeles Times, while Robert Rawitch, executive editor of The Times’ Valley and Ventura editions, has been named to the new position of editorial operations director for the two editions.

Schwadron’s position carries paper-wide responsibilities in areas spanning news presentation and editing, technology and new media.

In his new role, Rawitch will be responsible for strategy and planning for the two editions. He will also work closely in the development and administration of new media, such as TimesLink, and other special editorial projects for the editions.
