BET Holdings in Talks to Buy Stake in TV Company: Washington-based BET Holdings Inc., parent company of cable channel Black Entertainment Television, said it is in negotiations to buy a majority stake in the Action Pay-Per-View division of Santa Monica-based Avalon Communications. Action Pay-Per-View is a movie pay-per-view channel available to about 5 million subscribers.
