CURTAIN CALL: The 50-by-60-foot copper curtain that Thousand Oaks has decided to hang outside its Civic Arts Plaza will be one of the largest artworks in Ventura County. The challenge: keeping the copper from turning green. . . . “We’re doing extensive research on how to keep it from going green,” said Doug Friend, who works for architect Antoine Predock. “That’s the worst thing that could happen.” With the right chemicals, he said, the copper will remain as intended: a mix of Conejo Valley earth tones.
