Alpha Micro Acquisition: Alpha Microsystems said Thursday it has agreed to acquire CV Systems, a Long Beach company that specializes in software for use in veterinary offices.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. CV Systems, which already uses Alpha software, has more than 150 customers in Southern California.

Alpha said it has formed a new division, Veterinary Systems Operations, to provide software and servicing to veterinarians across the nation. The Santa Ana company makes record-keeping software geared toward the needs of specific businesses.
