A memorial service for Ronald D. Haver, film historian and director of the film department of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for two decades, has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on June 14 in the museum’s Leo S. Bing Theater. Haver died May 18 from complications of AIDS at age 54.

The public service will include tributes by his family and a screening of the classic film “A Star Is Born,” which Haver restored to its original length in 1983.

Haver’s family has asked that memorial donations be made to the museum’s film department.
