Marina Swimmer Will Go to Olympic Festival
Marina sophomore Alison Mijares, who swims for Golden West, will participate in the Olympic Festival this summer in San Antonio.
Mijares was second in the 500-yard freestyle and third in the 200 free at the Division I Southern Section swimming championships this month at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach. She also won the 800-meter free at the Junior National West championships last summer.
