Cal State Fullerton outfielder Dante Powell was named second-team All-American on Thursday by Baseball America magazine.

Powell, a sophomore, batted .335 with 12 home runs, 57 RBIs and 42 stolen bases. The 42 stolen bases were the fourth-most in a season in Fullerton history and the first time since 1982, when Brian Davis stole 49, that a Titan stole more than 40 bases in a season.

In other Fullerton baseball news, senior shortstop Nate Rodriquez’s 30 sacrifice bunts places him 10th on the NCAA’s career list and freshman Ted Silva’s 32 appearances this season places him second on Fullerton’s all-time single-season list.
