2 Men Arrested in Fatal Stabbing
An Oxnard man was stabbed to death in a bar fight that ended up in a nearby parking lot, police said Saturday.
Raymond Caballero, 45, was stabbed in the lot next to the Casbah Cocktail Lounge in Oxnard, police said.
Steve Rodriguez, 46, and Alfred Aguirre, 21, both of Oxnard, were arrested in connection with the slaying.
After an argument began about 11 p.m. Friday in the Casbah on West 5th Street, the men involved were ejected from the bar, according to the police report. Caballero was then stabbed in the chest several times, police said.
Caballero died soon after of multiple stab wounds to his upper torso at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, the report said.
Oxnard police responded to a caller who saw two men running with knives outside the Casbah, but arrived after the men had left. As another officer drove toward the area, he spotted a vehicle driving erratically on Ventura Road, according to police.
The men were arrested after police stopped the car and found evidence that linked them to the stabbing, the report said.
