Two men were injured early Saturday in a drive-by shooting police believe was gang-related.

David Harris, 30, of Tustin and Alexander Hernandez, 38, of Westminster were wounded by small-caliber bullets at 3:08 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Olive and Main streets. Harris suffered gunshot wounds to the back and shoulder and Hernandez was shot once in the leg.

Both men were taken to UCI Medical Center, where Harris was in stable condition and Hernandez was treated and released.

Although the two men said they did not see their attackers, police said the two groups engaged in a gun battle.

“Parked cars opposite (Harris and Hernandez) were struck as if rounds were fired in that direction,” said Lt. Andrew Hall. He added that shortly before the gunfire erupted, someone shouted out the name of a local gang.

Police have no suspects.
