L.A. Master Chorale Sets 30th Season

The Los Angeles Master Chorale’s 30th anniversary season opens Oct. 10 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, with Kurt Ollman singing the title role in Mendelssohn’s “Elijah,” conducted by music director Paul Salamunovich.

The rest of the season lists a “Bernstein to Broadway” program Nov. 7; “Messiah” sing-alongs Dec. 11, 15; “A Holiday Celebration” Dec. 18, 19; sacred works by Mozart and Haydn Feb. 6; “Sounds of the Ages” March 27; and “Carmina Burana” paired with Brahms’ “Nanie” June 5.

The Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers is the season’s guest choir, May 22.
