The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies from June 21 through 27:
Glendale
Anderson Avenue, 3800 block--Thieves entered a private residence and stole computer equipment and a VCR, valued together at $6,800, June 22 or 23.
East Cypress Street, 400 block--While posing as a Social Security official, a thief entered the room of a retirement home resident and stole $340 from her dresser at 2:30 p.m. June 23.
East Colorado Street, 1300 block--A thief smashed the lower part of a glass door to a meat market, removed about 30 pounds of meat of unknown value, then left it in a walkway at 11 p.m. June 23.
San Fernando Road, 4800 block--Thieves opened packages containing about half a dozen revolvers, valued together at $1,634, then resealed the boxes, which were eventually sent to the intended receiver. The theft occurred June 23, 24 or 25, either at a warehouse or in transit.
Hill Drive, 500 block--Thieves stole leather biker clothing, valued at $900, from a private residence between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. June 24.
San Fernando Road, 4000 block--Gunmen fired into a billiards room, hitting a man in his left arm at 1:55 a.m. June 26.
West Glenoaks Boulevard, 1100 block--Showing what appeared to be a gun under his shirt, a thief drove up to a drive-through fast-food restaurant and stole $232 at 1:55 p.m. June 26.
West Broadway, 200 block--A woman was caught stealing clothes, valued at $1,055, from a department store at 2:55 p.m. June 26.
Atwater Village
Brunswick Avenue, 4500 block--A thief asked a woman for directions, then grabbed the woman’s purse, containing credit cards and $270, at 8:55 a.m. June 27.
Eagle Rock
Yosemite Drive, 1700 block--Thieves entered the music building of a high school and stole a TV and video equipment of unknown value in a theft discovered June 21.
Yosemite Drive, 2200 block--A thief with a gun stole $300 from a market at 9 p.m. June 21.
Verdugo Road, 4100 block--Armed thieves stole $500 from a gas station at 9:50 p.m. June 21.
Oak Grove Drive, 1100 block--After prying open a garage door, thieves stole a radio and heavy equipment, valued together at $1,400, on June 21 or 22.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4800 block--Thieves smashed the front window of a movie theater, then stole money from video machines and candy from the snack bar between 12:40 and 9 a.m. June 22. The loss was estimated at $611.
Avenue 51 and York Boulevard--A thief grabbed a woman’s purse containing $715 at 6:40 p.m. June 23.
Banbury Place, 2600 block--After forcing open a side window, thieves stole video equipment and jewelry, valued together at $3,300, from a private residence between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 24.
Colorado Boulevard, 1900 block--As one thief showed a gun and guarded the door, others ransacked a mini-market and stole liquor and food, valued together at $290, at 2:10 a.m. June 27.
Eagle Vista Drive, 1200 block--A thief with a gun approached a man in a car and stole $25 at 1:30 p.m. June 27.
Echo Park
Landa Street, 1400 block--Entering a residence through an unlocked back door, thieves stole jewelry, valued at $8,000, between 9 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. June 23.
Whitmore Avenue, 2100 block--A thief with a knife struggled with a man, then escaped with the man’s wallet, containing $150, at 4 p.m. June 23.
West Sunset Boulevard, 2200 block--After posing as a customer, an armed thief stole $2,732 from a market at 9:55 a.m. June 25.
Montana and Logan streets--Two thieves approached the driver and passenger sides of a car, showed guns and stole the car and $20 at 9:55 p.m. June 25.
West Sunset Boulevard, 1200 block--After smashing the glass of a front door, thieves stole industrial equipment, valued at $6,400, from a garment factory on June 25 or 26.
West Sunset Boulevard, 2100 block--After posing as a customer and asking for cigarettes, a thief brandished a gun and stole cash and cigarettes, valued together at $200, at 1:35 p.m. June 27.
Stadium Way and Elysian Park Drive--Holding a knife to a man’s throat, thieves stole the man’s wallet, containing $200, and his car at 3:30 p.m. June 27.
Glassell Park
West Avenue 31, 2500 block--After a man refused to leave his car, thieves hit him with a gun and stole the car at 12:30 a.m. June 22.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3700 block--Thieves pried security bars, broke a window and stole industrial equipment, valued at $11,900, from a garment factory at 5:15 a.m. June 25.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3300 block--A thief with a shotgun stole cash and cigarettes, valued together at $177, from a market at 4:15 p.m. June 25.
Griffith Park
Crystal Springs Drive, 4700 block--Placing a knife to a man’s back, a thief stole cash and a TV at 4 p.m. June 26. The loss was estimated at $280.
Highland Park
North Avenue 54, 800 block--Thieves stole video equipment and other property, valued together at $615, from a high school in a theft discovered June 21.
Ash Street, 5600 block--After kicking open a front door, thieves stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $2,335, from a private residence between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. June 22.
York Boulevard, 6300 block--An armed thief entered a drug store, forced the manager to open the safe and stole an unknown amount of money at 9 p.m. June 23.
North Figueroa Street, 5800 block--After posing as customers, thieves with guns stole credit cards and $138 at an appliance store at 12:30 p.m. June 24.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4300 block--A thief entered a mini-market, removed beer valued at $8 from a refrigerator, pointed a gun, then left the store at 11:15 p.m. June 24.
North Figueroa Street, 6100 block--Video equipment and a TV, valued together at $4,300, were stolen from a business at 8 a.m. from June 25.
South Avenue 55, 300 block--Thieves with a gun approached a pizza deliveryman and stole his car at 12:30 a.m. June 26.
York Boulevard, 5800 block--Thieves entered a business and jumped over the counter, then pointed a gun and stole credit cards and $382 at 12:45 p.m. June 26.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4200 block--After posing as a customer and waiting for change, a thief brandished a gun and stole $550 from a market at 10:30 p.m. June 26.
York Boulevard and Armadale Avenue--Thieves pointed a gun at a man and stole his car and jewelry, valued at $30, at 10:40 p.m. June 27.
Los Feliz
North Edgemont Street, 1700 block--Thieves stole cash and camera equipment, valued together at $5,560, from a private residence between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. June 24.
Mount Washington
Beauvais Avenue, 4400 block--After removing the screen from a rear window, thieves entered a private residence and stole a radio and video equipment, valued together at $1,100, between 1 and 6:20 p.m. June 25.
Glenalbyn Drive, 4800 block--A thief climbed on a planter, opened a second-story window and stole a radio and camera equipment, valued together at $2,920, between 4:30 and 5:40 p.m. June 25.
Silver Lake
Prospect Avenue, 3900 block--Entering an unsecured garage, thieves stole two bicycles, valued together at $2,500, at 5:30 p.m. June 23.
Lucile Avenue and Griffith Park Boulevard--Thieves confronted a man in his car, put an ice pick to his head and forced him to drive them to an automated teller and make a withdrawal of $350. They stole the money and fled in the car between 4 and 4:20 a.m. June 25.
