SIMI VALLEY : Suspect in Armed Robbery Arrested
Simi Valley police Friday arrested a robbery suspect believed to have handcuffed a woman at her California Street home before taking $2,000 in cash two weeks ago, police said.
Marshall Tyree, 23, of Lancaster was booked at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery, police said. Tyree, who has a criminal record, was tracked through computer analysis of similar crimes he committed in Los Angeles County and elsewhere, Lt. Neal Rein said.
Detectives served a warrant on Tyree’s home Friday morning and found a skeleton mask believed worn during the robbery and $630 in cash, police said. The masked robber used a screwdriver to threaten the victim before handcuffing her, police said.
