VENTURA : Man Suspected of Possessing Syringes
A Ventura man was arrested on suspicion of possessing syringes, hypodermic needles and counterfeit prescription pads after he was caught shoplifting at Buenaventura Mall, Ventura police said Sunday.
Felix Daniel Guzman, 29, of Ventura is being held in Ventura County Jail on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, Officer Kim Stewart said.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday after police searched Guzman’s car and found the items along with a vial of blood, authorities said.
Stewart would not release details on the incident, and would not say where in the mall the shoplifting occurred or what Guzman was allegedly trying to steal.
Police also are seeking a second suspect in the case.
