Wal-Mart to Open Store in Anaheim: The nation’s largest retailer will open a store in late 1994 in Anaheim Plaza, according to the shopping center’s redeveloper, Donahue Schriber. The deal is contingent on completion of an Interstate 5 southbound on-ramp that would handle traffic leaving the plaza, Schriber said. The California Department of Transportation and the city are negotiating on the ramp. Wal-Mart opened a store last year in Corona and is reportedly planning stores for Cerritos and Laguna Niguel.
