OXNARD : Boy Wounded in Drive-By Shooting
A 17-year-old boy was treated and released after being wounded in a drive-by shooting in south Oxnard, police said.
The victim told police he was walking north on Courtland Street near Clara Street about 6 p.m. Tuesday when two people drove by in a late 1970s Buick or Oldsmobile, shouted gang slogans at him and fired one shot, striking him in the left ankle.
The boy was taken by friends to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Oxnard police have no suspects and are continuing their investigation.
