Nominations Open for Women’s Awards
Nominations are being accepted for the 1993 Salute to Women Awards, given for the past 10 years to women who have made outstanding contributions in art, business, community service, education, law enforcement, media, science and health.
The women selected will be honored by the Ventura County Commission for Women and the Ventura County Professional Women’s Network at an event Oct. 9 expected to be attended by legislators and community leaders, organizers said.
The dinner dance will be held at the Financial Plaza Hilton in Oxnard. For nomination forms, call 652-7611 or 388-5494. The forms must be submitted by Aug. 15, organizers said.
