A Man in Love (Bravo Sunday at 8 p.m., again on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m.) is Diane Kurys’ outstanding, undeservedly neglected 1987 film in which Peter Coyote, never better, plays an American actor who falls in love with his leading lady (Greta Scacchi) while filming in Rome.

May Fools (Bravo Friday at midnight) is Louis Malle’s bemused, absorbing 1990 film; the time is May, 1968, and French students are caught up in an attempt at revolution, but the setting is in the distant, serene countryside. May be taken as an homage to Jean Renoir’s “Rules of the Game.”
