Share

The annual Miss San Juan Capistrano scholarship pageant will be revived this summer.

Formerly run by the Chamber of Commerce, the event was discontinued in 1991.

The program’s founder, Lynn Guddy, and other community volunteers decided to bring the pageant back.

The pageant will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Mission San Juan Capistrano Community Center, located on the Mission San Juan grounds at Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano.

The pageant will be part of the city’s Rancho Days celebration.

Contestants for the title of Miss San Juan Capistrano must be of ages 17 through 21 and must live or work in the city.
