Los Angeles artist Marion Stiebel Siciliano, who in 1938 left Germany to escape Hitler’s oppression, has been invited to show her paintings at Berlin’s Rote Rathaus (Red City Hall) by the city’s mayor, Eberhard Diepgen.

An exhibition of 26 geometric abstractions by Siciliano is scheduled for Aug. 26-Sept. 22 in the historic building’s Hall of Pillars.
