If you can make it across our borders and say the two magic words, Uncle Sam’s purse opens. So too, are the services, i.e.: medical care, public assistance, etc. On the other hand, how do we take care of our own? Here’s a good example. A relative, with no assets except for a savings account in trust for a prepaid funeral contract, was denied admission to the food stamp program because of the trust account. This relative wanted to die with dignity, knowing in advance of death that she would have a funeral.

The system said no! A prepaid funeral contact is an asset that can and will negate your application. To conclude, we can take in terrorists and people with AIDS while we deny some citizens needed help.

It’s disgraceful!
