CAMARILLO : Bank Robber Flees With Bag of Money
A bank robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash from a Camarillo bank Friday after handing a note to a teller demanding money and indicating he had a gun, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.
The suspect did not show a weapon during the 11:24 a.m. robbery at the Camarillo branch of Bank of America on Ponderosa Drive, police said. He fled with a bag of money, police said.
The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-30s, about six feet tall, 200 pounds with blond hair and unshaven stubble on his face. He wore sunglasses, a white baseball cap with blue mesh on the back and a white shirt with blue sleeves.
The county Sheriff’s Department and FBI are investigating.
