Datametrics Corp., a Chatsworth maker of computer peripherals and communications products, named Ronald N. Iversen vice president of its newly created commercial products group.

Iversen will lead the company’s efforts to take its proprietary technologies, especially in high-speed color printers, into commercial markets “where we feel we can establish a leadership position,” said Sidney E. Wing, Datametrics’ president and chief executive.

Previously, Iversen was founder and president of a sales and marketing company with several million in sales. He also held several executive positions at Dataproducts Corp., a Woodland Hills computer and communications concern.
