Thanks for Aid With Off-Roaders
* As a long-term resident of the Porter Ranch area, I wish to express my thanks and appreciation, particularly to those directly involved, for their effective efforts in policing delinquent off-road motorcycle and four-wheel offenders.
Prior to the establishment of the Valley traffic division’s off-road unit, the noise, environmental damage and general public unrest created by off-roaders was a real problem in the Porter Ranch/Granada Hills area.
I am truly sorry that Sgt. John Gambill recently suffered an injury in the course of his duty as an LAPD officer and he has my everlasting respect.
My support goes to Officer Tim Wienckowski and his cohorts for their continuing effort to do a good job which, alas, often goes unnoticed.
