Gardens to Increase Admission Fee
Beginning Sept. 1, admission fees will be raised at Descanso Gardens and two other Los Angeles County arboretums, which were considered for closure during recent budget paring, county officials said.
The new fees for Descanso will increase from $3 to $5 for adults, from 75 cents to $1.50 for children 5 to 12; and from $1.50 to $3 for senior citizens and students.
The Descanso rates also will apply at the Los Angeles State and County Arboretum in Arcadia and the South Coast Botanic Garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, except for the senior citizen and student rates, which will be $3.50.
